In an era where digital content is king, accessibility should be a fundamental consideration for everyone creating digital content – whether it is for a website or just part of daily job responsibilities.

PDF remediation involves making changes to PDF documents to ensure they are accessible to people who use screen readers and other assistive technologies. This process can include adding text descriptions to images, ensuring the document’s structure is navigable and tagging content correctly.

NCDIT’s two half-day training sessions come less than a year before the April 24, 2026, compliance date that the U.S. Department of Justice has set for state and local government agencies to ensure their web content and mobile apps are more accessible to people with disabilities.

The ruling underscores the importance of digital accessibility and makes it imperative for all content creators to understand and implement PDF remediation techniques.
