Accessibility Improvements
- Focus: The focus indication of links with button styling was inconsistent with other buttons throughout the platform. It now appears like a outline/ring around the button, not within the button.
- Navbar-Toggler in Mobile View: In mobile/400% zoom view, the top nav options were moved into a collapsible menu. Once the menu has been expanded, a keyboard user would expect that the menu can be collapsed with the esc key, but pressing esc did not collapse the menu. This has been corrected.
- Low Contrast:
- The Quick Links component's hover text contrast was below the minimum requirement; the hover color has been darkened.
- On the Spotlight component, the text contrast of the button was too low on hover; the background color has been darkened.
- On Accordions, the visual indication of focus had a contrast that did not meet the minimum requirement of 3:1; the color of the focus ring now meets this requirement.
Updates & Fixes
- Media Library: When uploading a document to the media library while editing page, the whole screen became grayed out and the save buttons did not work. Users were able to circumvent this problem by uploading documents directly to Media library and then selecting the document during page editing. Normal function while editing a page has been restored.
- Main Menu: Items in the Main Menu with children were displaying a non-functional drop-down chevron; these have been removed.
- Embedded Views: Text appearance was inconsistent. Blog view embed and Press Release view embed were different colors and sizes. Variation also occurred when in a Tab or an Accordion, particularly on dark bands. This has been corrected.
- Carousel on Tablet View: Carousel slide text was hidden at the tablet viewport width. If important information is in the slide text, tablet users would not see the information. This has been corrected.
