New Features

Chart Component

You can now present data to your visitors in a basic line chart with the new Chart Component

SPARK: Glossary Feature

Need to define terminology for your visitors? We have added the third-party Glossify module to the Digital Commons platform. This module creates a vocabulary bucket found in Taxonomy where you can add terms and definitions. When these terms are found in the text component of a page, they become links that provide the definition to the website visitor.

Tech Resource Finder

New resources have been added to help people find technology resources in North Carolina

SPARK: Multiple Authors for a Blog Entry

Blog Entries used to have a 60-character limit for the author field. We received a SPARK request to expand this field to allow multiple authors and their titles. Content creators may now provide up to three separate authors, each listed on their own line. We also increased the character limit to 255 to provide ample room for long names with long job titles.

Taxonomy Added to Bulk File Upload

Content creators can now apply taxonomy while using the Bulk Upload feature in the Media Library

SVG Restriction on Main Image

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) should be limited to icons on the CTA Card component. We added validation so that SVGs cannot be uploaded to or selected from the media library for the Main Image field on Site Pages and Landing Pages. Main Images are configured as background images and SVGs will not render properly.

Updates & Fixes

Calendar Display Sync Fixed

New events were not appearing correctly on the full Calendar default view located at /calendar-events. Events are syncing the Calendar displays properly again.

Alerts not Unpublishing

There is a known issue with the Drupal Content Moderation module and the status field not being set to 0 when content is unpublished. This has been fixed. A brief delay was noted during testing, but the Alerts now unpublish for users whether logged in or out.

Webform Page Titles Too Long

DubBot was flagging webform titles for being over the 60 character limit because a setting combined the webform title with the page name. We changed the Form title display select dropdown so it will only display the User feedback title.

NC File Upload Module not Working

The File upload module was broken during a security fix. The underlying issue was identified and resolved so that users can successfully upload documents again.

Accessibility Improvements

Alt Text for Main Images on Blog and Press Releases

For all images that do not have alt text AND are not marked as "decorative," the alt field will be populated with alt="" so screen readers will skip over it.

Calendar View

  • The chevrons for moving forward and backward in time lacked alt text; this has been corrected.
  • While correct on the Month view, the Week, Day, and Year views were flagged by Editoria11y for not having proper heading text. This is fixed.
