New Features
New User Role: PDF Accessibility Reviewer
Web Managers have permission for the PDF Accessibility Conversion Tool by default. If a Web Manager wants to delegate so that others can help with converting PDF documents to Site Pages, they can add the new PDF Accessibility Reviewer role to that user's account. Read FAQs about the PDF to HTML Site Page Conversion Tool.
This is an add-on role without any other permissions. Web Managers should add it to a user who already has Editor or Publisher access and can work with Site Pages.
Training Reminder: Web Managers complete 3 levels of training. All other user roles complete 2 levels. You must be a Web Manager to register for training on Views or Webforms.
Improvements
Blog and Press Release Consistency
The Blog and Press Release Content Types both use the same fields in the section for Related Information, but were presented to content creators in a different order. Katie has made these more consistent across Content Types to help make your workflow more efficient. We're also discussing some other small issues regarding consistency that may appear in future releases.
Updates & Fixes
Captions
Sean from APNEP reported a bug where image captions were breaking so othat one word was on a line by itself. Usually, this disappears when the screen is refreshed. We have worked on this in the pages and thought we had fixed it, but we discovered it happening again. We are still investigating for a root cause so we can find a solution.
Close Button
When working in a Component window, the close button was not visible to the user. The escape (ESC) key could help you exit, but was not apparent or user-friendly. Katie corrected it so that the close button is visible again.
Webforms
iContact Sign-Up
When a website visitor completed an iContact sign-up form and chose only one subscription from a list, they were automatically signed up for all subscriptions instead. Dawain updated the iContact module so that users only receive the desired subscription.
Note: If you need to sync your webforms with another platform (like iContact), we can assist with that. Please get the platform's API key and submit a Service Request to our team.
Webform Embed Component in Site Pages
Diego in DNCR reported a bug when embedding a Webform Embed Component with required fields into a Site Page. When editing the Site Page, the platform would not allow the content creator to save the page without filling out the required webform fields. Dawain has fixed this so that the required status does not take effect while users are in Edit mode.
